Overview

The Odeo Flare MK3 is an electronic LED distress signal designed as a safer alternative to traditional red pyrotechnic hand-held flares. It’s a similar size to conventional flares, but instead of using explosives and flames, it uses battery-powered light emitting diodes for long-lasting, highly visible signalling.

Traditional hand flares burn for around 30 seconds, while the Odeo Flare MK3 provides around 5 hours of full illumination. With no pyrotechnics, it is safe when switched off and can be safely posted or carried in baggage on flights.
