Tender FAQs
What size inflatable tender do I need?
For most marina transfers and shore runs, a 3.3m tender is ideal for 1 to 2 adults. If you regularly carry 3 adults, more kit, or want a bit more stability, step up to 3.7m. If you’re unsure, tell me your yacht length and how many people you’ll normally carry and I’ll point you at the best size.
Are Hydrus Lite models easy to store onboard?
Yes. Hydrus Lite models are designed to pack down neatly for locker or deck storage. They’re lightweight and quick to deflate, so they’re easy to move and stow when space onboard is limited.
Do Hydrus Lite tenders have davit lifting points?
Hydrus Lite models don’t come with dedicated davit lifting eyes as standard. Most owners use them for quick launches, marina transfers and stowing onboard. If you plan to lift your tender with davits, tell me your davit type and typical load, and I’ll advise the safest setup and handling method for your boat.
Air deck or aluminium deck?
Air deck is lighter and stows smaller. Aluminium feels firmer underfoot and suits frequent use.
Can I add RIBPorts later if I decide I want to fish from my Hydrus?
Yes, we sell RIBPorts separately if you wish to add them. Go to the Railblaza page
