This years Boatlife 2024 show at the NEC Birmingham came around again and with the imminent arrival of the H7 Hydrus,  we were only too happy to exhibit in the Angling Zone once again.

The question on everyones lips was what we were giving away this year? 

The answer? Another Hydrus Inflatable Boat. 

And to win it? This year the challenge was to catch the biggest fish from a Virtual Reality Hydrus. 

I bought along my Meta Quest 3 VR headset loaded with ‘VR Fishing’ that just happened to have a black inflatable boat to fish from. What could be better?

So, with visitors eager to win the coveted prize it was a rush to our stand to don the headset and reel in a monster.

Alex Zenihov turned out to be the lucky winner landing the winning fish and came to collect his new hydrus only recently.

With lots of Facebook group members popping by to say hello and get a sneak peek of the new H7, the show was even better than last years event with a tidy amount of H7’s secured for when they arrive a few weeks later. 

Special thanks to my sidekick Susie, Steve Sadler and one or two other regular Facebook Group members and Hydrus customers who have become part of the IBF family. I’d have been exhausted without your help.
