Amazing Cod Fishing: Two SIB Anglers Take on Northumberland!, in this video I teamed up with Chris Davison / @chrisdavison2022 on his Hydrus SIB. We had planned to target flatfish with hopefully a plaice as a bonus, however the wind had other ideas so we changed tactics and targeted Cod and Coalfish on metal and soft plastic lures.
We launched at Beadnell in Northumberland and fished various marks around there, where we accounted for a few fish before heading up to the Farne Islands. Once there we had a great time catching Coalfish of various sizes on trolled soft plastics, and also jigging and spinning with metal jigs, a decent Codling or two also made an appearence.
At one stage I decided to climb out of the SIB onto a rock ledge for a bit of a leg stretch, I continued to catch Coalfish from here as well!.
A quick stop back in Beadnell Bay saw us finish the day with a couple of nice Codling.
