Powerboat 2 course

Myself and a couple of Facebook group members Phil and Michael recently had the opportunity to attend a Powerboat 2 course at Eastbourne Marina and it was an amazing experience.

The course covered a wide range of topics, including boat handling, safety procedures, and navigation, and was taught by an experienced and knowledgeable instructor.

One of the highlights of the Powerboat 2 course was the opportunity to get hands-on experience operating a RIB (rigid inflatable boat). We learned how to operate the boat in different conditions and were able to practice our skills in the marina and on the open water.

In addition to learning how to handle the boats, we also learned navigation skills, different knots used in boating and different colored buoys. The instructor emphasized the importance of wearing personal flotation devices, checking the weather and tide conditions, and having the proper equipment on board.

In addition to learning how to handle the boats, we also learned about the importance of safety on the water including Man Over Board(MOB) techniques.

Overall, the Powerboat 2 course was a fantastic learning experience. The instructors were knowledgeable and supportive, and the course covered a wide range of topics that will undoubtedly make me a safer and more competent boater.
